If you do fit one of these, be careful of the pressure rating of the header tank filler cap. This was increased in March '63 (as a step to lessen the chance of over-heating) to a 9lb blow-off pressure and a modified top radiator hose was introduced at the same time (Spares Bulletin N.3 relates).

I have this type of hose from Bill Tracy for my xk120 - I should probably add that it's rather hard, and would not expand like (probably) intended.
So, the cap might actually be from the later models...
