#1 Heat shield S1 + S2

Hi, I have seen a heat shield for the alternator attached to the first 2 exhaust studs.
It shields the rear of the alternator from the exhaust heat.
I ordered one on line but it really looked like it was made to shield fingers etc. from the belts.
Does not look to difficult to make if not available. Sorry I don't have a photo.

I've just purchased and fitted one of these at the weekend, it's sold by SNGB. It needed some adjustment but seems to do the job.

I also fitted one of those a couple of weeks back, looks like the fit is good and it does it job.

Top tip, if you add it to your 'watch' list, they normally come back with a discount/offer within about 24hrs.

Anyone know, whilst we’re at it, if there’s a suitable heat shield for alternators that are disguised within the original dynamo shell ?

Am guessing the need for one is dictated by the fact it’s an alternator rather than a dynamo, which as far as I know never had one.

An alternator includes solid state components which could be damaged by overheating.
