#1 Shell ID

Post by Vegard » Mon Jan 08, 2024 1:47 pm

Hi. I just found this on Ebay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256364010262 ... &recoPos=1

Could anyone in the know tell me how old this is? I've got a VERY rusty 65 UK market 4.2, and this shell makes sense....

Cheers

Depending on what is needed to get your rusty FHC repaired have you spoken to Chuck at Monocoque? He has very good quality panels that fit well. Might be worth talking to him first. And there’s Hutsons in the UK, too. They have very good quality panels to help.

Buying that If it’s correct would be MUCH cheaper. My shell needs everything. It’s VERY rotten.

Looks like a late 3.8 shell to me but I am no expert. If you are planning to buy that shell you need to examine it VERY carefully. It looks to have been dragged out of the elements and painted. Could be anything under that white paint. You could potentially pay a lot of money and be no better off.
