Mmmh,

So my car, built 28th December 1962, is 888007 with a "higher" number than a 1964 car (880471)? Ok, so mine is a coupe and Pierre's is an OTS but that seems to be even more confusing.

I wonder why Jaguar did that? :scratchheadyellow:

Colour

About to order some interior stuff. What I have in the boxes for this car vary from what I would call bright signal red to quite dark red. Were there several reds? Can I just say "red" to BAS? And what is the right color for headliner, what I have (not a lot) looks beige?

Headliner was Beige unless the car was painted Green when Suede Green was used seemingly regardless of the rest of the interior colour. There was a choice of Red or Maroon interiors depending on body colour. What was the original body colour?

BAS will send you samples....dont order unless you have seen an exact sample ...dont forget these are new materials/vinyl so colours will not be exactly the same as from the Jaguar factory....Steve

I thought cars with red interiors had grey headlining? That's what mine has, as supplied by BAS. Have I got the wrong colour headlining?

BAS will offer you a selection of shades of red. They sent me samples of each material and colour combinations to choose from. I went for something as close to Jaguar original as they could achieve.

Stuart
