Hi all,
I have the dash apart at the moment whilst fitting the new heater pipes and want to fit a discreet radio aerial without having to drill the wing to mount it.
I would like to hide it possibly behind the dash???
I have the old original radio that came with the car and have removed it for safe keeping and have fitted a new retro looking radio to use.
Interesting is that there is no existing aerial or aerial mounting holes drilled into the exterior metalwork which I am happy with.
The new radio is a Calibre RCD120 retro looking new radio with FM & bluetooth as per here:-

Can anyone advise on a suitable aerial that can be hidden behind the dash.??
I have seen some of those that stick onto the windscreen too but would like something discreet and also to get away from the wind noise that some discussions on here have mentioned.
Oh, and by the way - The stainless replacement heater water pipes from SNG are terrific and fit 100% with no extra bending or adjustment needed. They just popped into place and of course I have lagged them with some commercial air conditioning pipe insulation that cost peanuts..

Hi Splosh
You can get replacement windscreens that have the aerial elements built in (and also heated windscreens), see the thread re Pilkington...I know that Angus will be fitting them, but you can get them separately I believe.

Retrosound makes a behind-the-dash antenna that may fit your needs.

I have one of those powered antenna's and it is pretty useless even when stuck to the windscreen. Nothing hidden away is going to work well for FM frequencies. Best bet is the Pilkington screen with built in aerial.

Thank's for the replies and the integrated windscreen sounds good and worth a look.
