I have not been able to access the forum for a few days now - don't know why....
Anyway, I went to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon at the weekend. Primarily, I wanted to look at their 1969 UK OTS to help me in my restoration work on my 1970 US one.
I asked if I could look under the bonnet and after a few minutes permission was granted. On the outside the car is fabulous.
I climbed in and opened the bonnet catches. I was quite surprised to see the condition of the engine bay. Obviously the cars in the Collection Centre are kept ready to go, but the engine bay did not reflect the superb condition of the outside. Maybe I was just expecting it to be as good as the outside.
I looked out for genesis 77 RW but it was in the workshop:
No oil leaks though!
The X180 and F-Type concept cars were fantastic:
A great day out.

I don't get your post. Whats the matter with the engine compartment? Looks pretty good to me?

OK, may be it's just me or how the photos have come out. The engine frames just looked like they needed touching up as did some of the suspension and steering parts.
However, functionally it is probably perfect and all authentic, which can't be said for mine.

yep! I think you may have seen too many concours garage queens! If I were looking to buy that car, I would be pretty excited. Looks very good to me.
