Hello Dana,
I believe that some 1000 2R cars were produced and all had the side wing mounted Leaper badges you refer to, fitted. The Leapers I referred to are Leapers à la MK2, MK10 and many others.

Regards,

Bill

We're into another season of E-ventures with the car, and I will happily consider this bucket list item checked this fall. As part of the journey, I'll let the universe point out the next custodian who will hopefully share the same passion for this great restoration with a pretty face to get used as intended.

A private mutually balanced arrangement borne out of respect will mean more than anything else, knowing they will continue to carry the torch much further than I can in this bonus round.

Thx to everyone here who weighed in on making this chapter everything it could possibly be.

Summer in the city... Victoria at Mile Zero on the Trans Canada highway, (Pacific Ocean side) ..

This car is so well behaved, delivering pure bucket list fun on every trip .. I can see why it's easy to get attached to the purr.

If you can appreciate a car this much then you truly deserve each other.

Wishing you many miles of adventure and excitement together.

Regards
Stuart

Thx Stu. This year and a date with a big C surgery in July will produce some clarity about the bonus round and the 'Quality Time Remaining', as someone pointed out on their personalized plates (Q T R). Brings a clean uncluttered sharp focus on moments like the above.

Dana, all best wishes that the big C surgery will do the job and give you lots more QTR. You've a good car there and I've enjoyed reading about your restoration. May you have many more miles in her.
