The 2 brackets in the pictures secure the radio console I think?? One has the stud broken off and both appear to be bent? Before I go to great lengths to reposition/repair them, can anyone suggest a reason why they might have been bent in the first place because it's difficult to imagine how they could have been bent accidentally?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

The reason? It's called a PO
Getting all the central panel and tunnel area parts neat to allow the central instrument/switch panel to drop down fully is a bit of a faff. I could well imagine a PO has used brute force and ignorance.
It'll be well worth getting all that area, including any insulation material, trial fitted before a final fix, or you could end up emulating what has previously been done.

Someone's just bent it back out of the way.
Getting the stud to line up properly on the console can be very hard, depending on what's been done to the carpet, underlay and sound deadening.

Both should have the tab aligned exactly fore and aft, and the stud precisely across the car. You always have to splay the forward end of the console out a little during fitting to get it over the studs in the first place
