We could all miss out the M25 if we make it Trafalgar Square then.

Before I retired, I travelled the M25 both clockwise and anticlockwise, every working day for 15 years. Used to go across the Dartford crossing before the bridge was built, so just one tunnel with 2 lanes in each direction for all traffic. My longest time from Chatham in Kent to home in Chelmsford, total 43 miles, was just over 4 hours.

However, unless there's an accident, it's do-able providing you avoid the worst periods. Apart from obvious rush hour times, you need to avoid Monday mornings and friday afternoons. Everyone travels to their place of work monday morning, then some stay so fewer travel tuesday morning, and so on. Morning traffic thus improves each morning. Then they all go home again Friday afternoon.

Best times to travel are Monday afternoons or friday mornings. If the visit is going to span more than a morning or afternoon, Wednesday is not bad between about 10.30am and 3.30pm.

School holiday times are better as some take time off work to go away.

Weekends are normally fine.

Of course, it can be difficult for Northern Softies!

Just seen this.

I would be in, as a date later in the year would be the ideal way of putting some pressure on to get the thing done and finished. Hopefully with my Marek-made faired in headlights...

Either location but I'd vote for Bicester.

Mark10337 is here on the 7th October. I'll be at a Jaguar Drivers Club Area1 meeting at Bewlee that day, that'll be for all sorts of Jaguars.

Another day at Brooklands or Bicester would be good. Would meeting at Bicester give us anything to see? Unless we can persuade one or two of the companies to open their doors for the day and are any involved in E Types?

I'm also at Beaulieu on 7th Oct, same do as Geoff!
If another day suits the majority, I'd still prefer Brooklands myself.

Any further plans to maybe make this happen on the weekend of Oct. 5 -7? I´m planning to be in the region on that weekend.

It looks like Brooklands is having a Morgan meet on the 7th.

Who is going to Bicester scramble and who Brooklands?

Mark,

I‘ve planned on being in Bicester, together with David J. I‘ll try to park near to where the parking was set up for the forum last time. S2 Silver OTS.
