#1 Cold starting problem
My Series 2, running on triple SUs has just had a total engine rebuild, fitting of 123 electronic ignition and a good rolling road tune. It starts beautifully second time of the day (hot or cold), but first time it coughs, and stops about 5 times after turning the key, no matter where the throttle is. I can hear the fuel pump working when the ignition is first turned on. Do you think this is fuel trying to get to the carbs? It drive beautifully and as I said, once started, it when I turn it of & start again it starts instantly and idles smoothly at about 800 RPM. The battery is fine.

These symptoms can be caused by insufficient enrichment.
In other words the choke isn’t dropping the main jets.

Thanks both. I'll check that the choke is working properly.
