Can anyone supply details of the bd13565/6 and bd13565/8 set screws which secure the hinges to the bonnet. I am more interested in the length of the setscrews .
Many thanks,
Regards,
Greg

Greg, putting those part numbers into SNG Barratt's website returns setscrew 5/16" UNF x 1inch
Hope that helps

My guess is that they are a "special" part number because they are pointed?

Yes , the BD prefix for setscrews normally denotes points usually when they are attached to captive nuts. I have images of the set screws and maybe make up my own "pointed" set screws with 1 1/2" and 2" lengths. back to the lathe!
Many thanks for the replies.

Hi Greg
I fitted my bonnet on Monday. There were a mixture of screws [5/16 UNF] in mine, but the ones that I think were the originals were 2" long with a pointed end. I replaced them all in the end with 2" long cap headed screws because the inboard screws were awkward to get a socket on. In hindsight, I should probably have left the hinge securing bolts out whilst shimming the bonnet as it was this that made access to the inboard screws awkward.

Hi Andy,
Many thanks for the reply. From the photos I have seen I have guessed the lengths are 2" (vertical screws) and 1 1/2" (horizontal) . The photos were kindly supplied by Alan Roper who is restoring a very original Series 2 coupe. They both have different part numbers . When I have "pointed" the 8 set screws I will post a photo.
Regards,
Greg
