Has anybody found an alternative to the ludicrously expensive [£25] in tank fuel filter? I will also probably fit an extra temporary disposable filter in the fuel supply line somewhere near the tank when I first run the car in case my fuel tank cleaning has been less than thorough.

It's under £20 from David Manners.
I did think about an alternative but I decided that it was one of those occasions where the time and alterations to the factory arrangement plus the possibility of leaks wasn't worth saving £15.
