About to start work on my US import series 2 .

rear lenses are red in colour.
do they need replacing to incorporate 'orange' colour lens?

Yes. One of our members, MarekH, produces some excellent copies and you can have them in many colours provide you display orange bulbs for indicators: http://forum.etypeuk.com/viewtopic.php?p=59789#p59789

With the integrated LED reverse lights you can clean up the rather cluttered rear of the S2.
