I have had my 1968 S2 since Sept 2015. It was a perfectly standard and fairly useable car but since then it has been upgraded by marque specialist Martin Lanes.
It now has Emerald fuel injection, T5 gearbox, uprated suspension with GAZ dampers, sealed for life ball joints and UJs, hydraulic power steering, Fossway calipers and discs, HID headlamps etc etc.
The EFI gives ~ 200 bhp at the wheels on the rolling road which equates to about 230 / 240 bhp at the flywheel. SS big bore exhaust is also fitted and makes a wonderful growl ! There is a RADTEC alumnium radiator
The EFI includes Jenvey throttle bodies and the truly excellent Mangoletsi manifold and throttle linkage - which gives excellent linear throttle control.
The car is now a superb Grand Tourer and did 2500 miles on a trip to France without problems - and resistannt to E85 fuel which the standard SU carbs are not.

Quite a few here (incl me) would be interested to know your opinion of your T5 gearbox, the source and how well it went in.
You are not concerned about the legality of the HID headlights?

The T5 gearbox is as used on the Ford Mustang so is bullet proof.
It is a tight fit but both the gearshift quality and the high gearing in 5th are amazing. It gives 40 mph / 1000 rpm so cruising is very relaxing and economical on fuel.
The down side is the cost - around £6000 .
The combination of EFI and the T5 give around 25 mpg.

I like your mods alot.
Sounds quite much like my S2!
I have the original box and a 2.88 rear end though. I love it.
Getting around 26 mpg on Jenvies and it sounds amazing. You have my BHP at the rear wheels as well. I have a big valve head and 8:1 pistons. No oil consumption. Seems totally reliable.

jerome
the box was installed in 2016 by Martin Lanes who has carried out all the work on the car for me.
BTW Martin has sold the business to his former workshop manager, Phil Gibson, and is now known as Gibson Classics.
