#1 CHASSIS PLATE LOCATION

1969 Series 2 4.2 RHD FHC 2+2 - the chassis plate was removed during restoration and subsequently lost. I can get a replacement from SNG but there are several sizes and designs. Which plate size ( and the details that need to be reflected on the plate) is appropriate for this model and where is it fitted ( on the bulk head, on the flat shelf to the right of the battery, on the flat shelf under the throttle mechanism/brake fluid reservoir/next to the air filter)?

Any help appreciated.

Mine is next to the battery and is approx 17 x 9.5cm

All boxes have stampings including the valve clearances at the bottom.

This is from Factory Fit S2 thread:

So same plate and location as the S1 cars; riveted. Later in production the plate changed to a smaller oblong one in the same place and then migrated to the LH side door panel.

Any chance of a full picture of the series 2 chassis plate?
SNG have several examples but the only one of this size is marked "Daimler" and not "Jaguar".
really appreciate your help.
