#1 New Left Window Regulator Binding.

The old one had badly stripped out gears. This is a brand new one. It installs fine but seems to bind up on itself and bends as you lower the window. Appreciate any advice.

You just have to examine exactly what is catching/binding with what, and do a bit of careful bending to get the offending bits out of each other's path. When I was trying to get my (orginal) mechanisms to work within the (new) doors, I concluded that it's a mechanism that isn't particularly stiff (so everything flexes under load) or constructed to particularly tight tolerances - yet it's required to operate within a tightly constrained space. Like trying to push a banana on the end of a fishing rod through a letter box...

Thank you. I have requested a new replacement regulator from the vendor. No amount of fidget work was going to help.

Thanks
Anthony

The vendor sent a replacement regulator and it works much better. Thanks all.
