Headlight covers for my 69 XKE
#1 Headlight covers for my 69 XKE
I am rather new to the site and hope I haven't missed anything about the current state of the art on retrofitting covered headlights on Series 2 models. Older posts reference designs by Marek and Wahl. I am assuming they are currently available but haven't seen any comments. Would love to get some insight before I attempt to pull off a conversion.
thanks

There are a number of people who have tried both. In each case, they purchased the Wahl kit first and then later came to me. You can always talk to someone independent like Harry Fulford in California.
I can send you a set of fitting instructions which go into the background requirements and steps you need to consider before proceeding with such a conversion, but this is a Word document. You can then make a better decision as to how to proceed.
kind regards
Marek

Marek is too much of a gentleman to post his own products, but I can do it.
A challenging project, but the results are spectacular:

Those do look stunning. It really cleans up the front end of the S2.

You may not notice that I deleted the side markers. They added "clutter" to the front end, IMHO.

#8 Re: Headlight covers for my 70 FHC E-Type
Greetings,
I too am new to this Forum, and am looking to replace the open headlamps on the modified FHC I recently purchased, with a covered headlamp kit. In reading previous posts, one of your frequent contributors, MarekH, has produced these kits. If you are still offering them, I would like more information, please- a photo or two, and a means of discussing a purchase with you.
Thank you!
Patrick

Can you PM as soon as you join? Do I recall you need to make a certain number of posts before you can PM? Patrick, if the system doesn't allow you to PM him yet, we could send a message to him for you.
