Hello. My door mirror wobbles quite a bit above the mounting base. I’ll have to take my door apart soon to replace a faulty new window regulator. If there is a way to tighten the mirror I will be able to do that at that time.
Thanks
Anthony

Hi Anthony
Turning the stalk like you did reveals the fixings. It looks like a Tex mirror -
https://www.motoringclassics.co.uk/clas ... ts/mirrors - read a little about mountings.
Any way - if it is a Tex mirror it may be that the fixing bolts hold the mirror on through 2 expanding plugs. If you remove the 2 fixing bolts you can then remove the mirror and stalk, underneath is a spring and nut, tighten the nut a little and it should make the mounting stiffer. Let us know what you find.

It was spring loaded but the body of the door was putting pressure on the spring and was keeping the spring from extending out enough. A few washers resolved it. Thanks!
