Hello my car has a really beautiful paint job on the bonnet however both headlights have these paint bubbles. One side has cracked.
I’m skeptical that rust is the issue because the bonnet was repainted about a year ago and there are generally signs of a nice job on it. I presume this issue is either some type of reaction to the rubber gasket or it wasn’t prepped correctly before paint.
Repainting the bonnet won’t be an option for a few years. In the mean time, I’d like to cover these with wider rubber or perhaps a covered headlight conversion. I’m in touch with Marek about his conversion already.
I’d appreciate any other suggestions on fixing this without a repaint. Thanks!
Anthony

Hi Anthony.....have you looked at some of the traveling paint repairers....dont know if you have them in the US....but here in the UK they are very popular.....some are really good....working out the back of their van and doing invisable spot repairs on site......Steve

Thanks for the suggestion on the touch up paint specialists. I believe there is a talented fellow near me.
Wanted to ask one more time if anyone is aware of an oversized rubber seal that may cover this or the touch up work?
Thanks
Anthony
