#1 Interior re-trim suppliers?

I am shortly to commence the interior re-trim of my 2+2. Can anyone recommend a trim supplier? I am aware of BAS International and John Skinner Ltd, and feedback on these 2 companies would be appreciated. I was going to order a complete kit, using the services of a local trimmer, who I have known for years, to do the bulk of the work, including the rooflining. I would possibly do the luggage boards and door cards myself as they look relatively easy...........famous last words!

The two you list are very good as are Aldridge in Wolverhampton(who i used for my trim parts)..you may not need a full kit as you will get things that your trimmer will have off the shelf...scrim/foam etc......Steve

Thanks folks. A bit more feed back on Aldridge's would have been useful. Has anyone out there used them?
I don't know if there is any difference in quality between Skinner's and BAS International. Costwise, from my findings, Skinner's are quite a bit more expensive, apart from a couple of items.

Mine was re-trimmed with a full kit from BAS. They were helpful and no problem replacing a door arm rest which fell off when SWMBO lent on it a little. The reinforcing washer was absent.

Then when I requested same materials for re-trimming my MX5 seats and they supplied me with matching leather, vinyl and the perforated leather for my chosen trimmer to use. Mind you, I got far too much leather on their recommendation for normal use so little vinyl got used. I really also needed more of the perforated leather to do the seat squabs properly but that was down to me.

Used Aldridge to retrim my seats and centre console. Perfect job and reasonably quick to.
Had a tour of their facility whilst dropping my stuff off, very impressive and they always seem busy.

It wasn’t cheap but I have nothing to compare to.

I got the full trim kit from BAS but had them do the seats because I was scared of messing them up. They did a superb job and have always been helpful and supportive in all aspects of trimming.

I've only ever heard people complain about 1 trimmer and they have nothing to do with Jaguars so you have a great range of choice available to you.

I would recommend GB Classic Trim up in Nuneaton. They've just done a re-trim of my car (new hood and interior below the dashboard).

Graham at GB Trim and Aldridge are my preferred trimmers. Their work is amazing.

I wouldn't recommend BAS these days. Aldridge according to my restorers are considerably better.

Are you perhaps confusing BAS here with the BAS in the US ?

Aldridge left a bit to be desired (I ordered an Etype hood and a Mk10 boot trim kit). But I understand that they also do trimming inhouse which might be a different story. Eric Suffolk, Mick Turley or GB trim would be my choice.

Probably. I had no idea that the US one existed. Sorry for the confusion.
