As part of 'taking stuff off' to get ready to lift the body off the engine, I'm (hopefully) left with just the reaction tie plate and the engine mountings - both look scary!!
Reaction Tie Plate - I've found this thread on the forum. Can someone confirm that the advice offered is sound, please?

Engine Mountings - I see three - Is there a recommended approach for disconnecting these. I guess there should be a relevant thread on the forum, but I couldn't find it!!

Hi ..you need to read all posts in the link...post 2 is a better way to go...note that the key poing is to ensure that all the tension is released from the torsion bars by releasing the front wishbones...i would advise that you actually read the service manual so you have a clear understanding of what you are doing....the same for the engine mounts....the weight of the engine must be taken up befor releasing then...the service manual is your friend, it fully details engine removal....Steve....edit..PM sent

After Carefully reviewing all the info and the shop manual, you have nothing to fear but fear itself ! ( apologies to FDR ) I went through the exact same concerns when doing mine for the first time.
Cheers !
