I've just taken off a number of Heater Pipe Plate, Fixing Flanges - the D shaped washers with a central hole and 3 rivet holes that the heater pipes emerge through on the bulkhead.
They look as if they were originally presented as bare metal - underneath the 50 years of superficial surface rust!! It may sound trivial, but is it common practice just to rub these down and replace or is there a designated colour that these should be painted?
Cheers, John C

hi John,
I think that these are usually sprayed black.
