My car does not com from the US. Anyway, I'm surprise because there is not vent pipe (C34369) coming from the tank until a sort of extractor.
Is it normal ?
Is there fuel smell to extract in the US/Canada cars only and not in Europe ones ?
Petrol vent pipes
#2 Re: Petrol vent pipes
The US specification and fittings may have been different from the Euro specification and fittings.
You can find details in the US tan coloured Owners Manual booklet for the additional US emissions equipment fitted and the Parts Manual will also list most of the variations. You can also make cross references against other Jaguar cars of the time as the saloons will have been subject to the same regulations as the etypes were. For the latter, you can probably find pictures on the jag-lovers.com website which covers more than just etypes.
kind regards
Marek

Thank you Marek.
Does your S3 has a US equipement ?
If it is not the case where have you plugged the hose coming from the boot(C38511) ?

Michel
