Hi All
New to the forum so apologies for asking daft questions.
Proud owner of series 3 2+2 manual for the last few years.
I have been looking at the engine rebuild service offered by Rushton engineering for a while now but before I take the plunge I wondered if anyone had any experience of them or the rebuild itself ? Alternatively any advice on others who offer a similar service would be great.
Greatful for any feedback.
Thanks
John

Hi John, I met them at the NEC recently, seem knowledgeable and have a fair few cars in. Prices seem sensible for a standard overhaul. Also considering at some point so let me know how you get on.. plus no substitute for going to see them first and seeing set up, work etc .. James

Hi John,

just considering Rushton myself for a V12. Did you go with them, any feedback.

Why do you gents think that a rebuild is required?

In my view, the v12 is an extremely hardy engine.

Hi there
Sorry for my English, I'm German speaking..
Rushton did the rebuild of my 4.2 e-type engine 2 years ago. Pick-up and delivery to Switzerland was arranged by them and worked pefectly. Pricing was good and as offered without any "surprises". The timeframe to finish as promised was met (even shorter). The engine runs smoothly like a dream and the optical finish is superb.
Overall, a very positive experience and I would go for Rushton with my next engine again.
(not to underestimate, the very friendly communication and frequent status updates with photos during the process)
