My 1974 Etype Series 3 drivers side cbrome remote mirror knob broke. the mirror knob is connected to the cable to adjust the mirror on the drivers door. XKS sells a mirror knob that clips on to the broken part (see link below). This costs only $28.00 versus replacing the whole mirror with the connected knob for $250.00. The description says it just clips on. Anyone have experience using this? would love to hear if this works.

I have no experience with this knob, but looks like a fix. If it does not work, send it back...XK's is good about returns. Seems to me your down side risk is the price of shipping ! Give it a shot. Good luck !
