#1 Engine Frame Dimension

Post by angelw » Fri Sep 21, 2018 12:38 am

Hell All,
Can anyone confirm for me the dimension shown in the following picture; that being from the back surface of the Front Flange that the Picture Frame interfaces with, to the Centre of the rearmost hole in the Flange that attaches to the Bulkhead. The frame is from an S3 Car.

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Bill

Hi Bill
I found 90cm on my car.
What kind of problem do you have.

Hi Michel,
Thanks for the reply. How confident are you that your frames are original?

I've measured nine frames, four complete sets, plus one and all measured at, or close to 905. I also found an original LH Frame for sale; the seller measured that and it also was 905mm.

At the moment, I can't go into the reason for wanting this dimension confirmed. In time I will.

Following are pictures of just a couple of original frames I've measured.

Regards,

Bill
