I approached several of the usual suppliers in the UK for mud flaps / mud guards / splash guards - those protective shields mounted behind the wheels to prevent water/mud/sand/stones/molten tar/oil etc from being projected onto the body of the car.

It is somewhat of a surprise that mud flaps are not available off-the-shelf for the E. The average owner cares so much for their cars that I would have expected mud flaps to be a high volume seller and yet… nothing.

So, I ended up buying a product from a local online shop. Its called “Road sport” #4754, size format B, www.roadsportinc.com .

There surely must be better / more elegant solutions, but this is what I ended up doing…
