#1 Diameter of mirror rod

Hello and happy New Year to everybody.
My OTS S3 is still at the Garage for some repair work. Independantly, I am starting to design a special holder for my phone to be fixed to the mirror rod. Basically it's a conversion of a bicycle phone holder.
Can anybody do me a favour and tell me the diameter of the rod, please?

No doubt to use when phone is in GPS mode. Great idea ! I will measure this morning and shoot back the info. If you have not already, might want to consider using a modern day/night mirror which simple sticks to the glass, and eliminate old style completely useless (by modern standards) mirror. You probably have already, but just a thought. Happy New Year to you !

I thought about replacing the mirror, but like the old and slightly blind style.

6.4 mm = 1/4 inch, by vernier.
