#1 Tool kit rollup placement

Post by Walluski » Tue Jul 23, 2019 10:08 pm

Hi, I just acquired a very nice 1972 Series 3 E Type. It came with a rollup tool kit laying on the back deck.
Is there a designated location for the tool kit? I can't seem to figure out where it's supposed to go.
Thank you!

I think you just snug it in the spare wheel well wherever it fit. I don’t think there are any specific holding straps or location points.

If it doesn’t seem to fit well anywhere, I’m sure it will find a perfect home in my car.😉

On the S3 the spare wheel was stored with the outside upwards so the only storage space for the toolkit would be under it. The boot floor was lowered to accommodate the bigger fuel tank which also meant the wider wheel would fit and let the boot board fit level. The toolkit was an option in the US.

I did manage to fit it under the spare.
Thanks for the help!
