Help for the wiring loom
#1 Help for the wiring loom
Hi all,
I'm now working to get the wiring looms back into the car. The problem is that they were not in initially when I've got the car. This is the case for the under dash one and also the one runnng on the right engine frame .
I'm interested to get pictures showing where and how they have to be placed.
Hope someone has this kind of pictures.

Hi Michel,
Is this any help? (Don’t forget of course, that my car is RHD!)
Some before and after shots. I have some more if you need them, some for the radio too, I think I had to make my own extensions for that in order to link the power aerial and a modern (old style) radio with mp3
Regards,
Simon

Michel,
Glad to help. Some more photos taken since. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your completed car. I might even ask for some help with an injection conversion ...

I don't see air bleed pipes from the thermostat housibgs to the header tank. Are they yet to be fitted?

Please disregard above comment. I became confused with efi t/stat housings and carbed housings.

Dear Michel,
While you have all of that apart, cut yourself an access hole and make a cover plate at the bottom front right of the transmission tunnel cover, so you have good access to the clutch slave cylinder and can easily bleed the clutch without dismantling half of the car or having to crawl underneath it to do so.
kind regards
Marek

Hi Michel
Presuming you have the bulkhead harness C34999 this will serve the washer motor and the secondary brake fluid bottle. Note: There is apparently only 1 bulkhead harness which serves both RHD/LHD. It comes out by the washer motor as per the attached picture shown at the back of the dash. This harness starts and connects to the right hand forward harness just inside the bulkhead engine side. Its a very confusing run as my sparks originally said I had the wrong bulkhead harness but talking to Autosparks/SNG they only ever produced the one type. I have a picture of the run which I attach.
I think the right hand side brake bottle (Mine is auto so you will have the clutch bottle there as well) is served by the right hand forward harness or at least the start of the bulkhead harness (see photo)
Just aside:-
Whilst down at the area where the brake servo is (Left hand side) you have the PDWA Brake Pressure Differential Warning activator.(C37217) which has a lead between that and the brake bottle (C38298). This lead is not available from the normal suppliers and I got mine made up by Autosparks who will supply but I now see Martin Robey is now showing as available.
I think you will also need 2 x C34268 which is the lead between the brake bottles and the connection to the harness which Martin Robey seem to have.
Most of this is from memory so forgive me if I have it wrong but if anybody has a better memory then please add any comments.
Here are the photos no particular order but hope they help-you will need to home in on the photos to see them better.
