The brake reservoir hose on my series 3 is sweating.
So I will replace it.
Can anyone confirm best hose and dimensions.
I tried to measure the existing one on the car and the length looks to be about 30cm and the diameter of the outside is around 1.7 cm. But I think the internal dimension is normally the measurement to use.
Is Cohline 2337 suitable?
Thanks
Mike

Mike : be warned that this is probably not sweating, but that the line has become porous and is weeping brake fluid, which can be highly damaging to paint . Wash everything down with water at very frequent intervals until the hose has been replaced

Thanks David and Christopher.
I am intending to get some Cohline 2337 from Merlin Motorsport.
Is this the correct pipe?
https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/7m ... =2337-0613
Looks quite reasonable at £1.32 per 100 mm + VAT.
My current sweating pipe has a yellow line along its length.
Thanks again.

I’ve just fitted that cohline hose from Merlinsport, as the hose I got originally from one of the etype parts suppliers sweated/leaked due to porosity (is there a difference?) after 3 months! That was after one of the new fluid reservoirs split at the spigot so I seem to have spent a lot of time mopping up fluid.
