The toothed ratchet plate and matching pawl that provide the means of locking & releasing the handbrake at the drivers end are both significantly worn on my 1971 S3 2+2 V12 Auto.
It appears from searching on line that replacements are not readily available.
Is anyone aware if a source for these, or a effective repair procedure?
I have the means to re-manufacture and if I end up going this way would anyone be interested in new parts, if I had a small batch done?
Drew

I have a complete S1 2+2 handbrake lever assembly you could PM me for. I always felt the S3 version looked like an afterthought (which of course it was) when they added the extra bent part on the end.

Hi Drew,
I had the same problem on my S3 and could not find replacement parts either.
In the end I recut the teeth into the pawl with a file which has proved an effective repair. Handbrake holds in all situations.
Good luck.
Kevin
