Hi All I have a 1991 low milage xj12 engine/gearbox ECU and a series 3 e type can anybody tell me if this engine will fit without a e type sump and what other mods I will need to make. I have never had a engine for this car to exchange parts from one engine to the other. On the plus side I do have CNC milling machines and lathes to make parts if necessary. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

No it won't fit. If you get yourself the Feb 1974 Parts Manual for the s3 etype, then you'll see that you need to change everything t do with oil, water and exhaust to make it fit. This topic has been covered before so the information is in the archives.
I have a spare s3 v12 etype engine complete and many spare parts if you nare interested.

Hi Marek. Thanks for your reply, do you have the parts to make this engine fit and if so.how much. I'm also looking for a rear seat base for a S£ 2+2 if you have one I have two XJS carb engines if anything is any good for my conversion.
