Footwell hole
#1 Footwell hole
This is probably a numty head question but..
Does anyone know what t(is hole is for in the foolwell of my S3 OTS. (In the centre of the pic)
It was covered by sound deadening material, only discovered when we stated to strip the body of all bits and bobs.it doesn’t really go anywhere and it too low for cabling as far as I can see.
Please feel free to answer with torrential abuse as you see fit.
Yours

Hi Peter,
Isn't it to give access to the head of the front bolt holding the torsion bar mounting plates.
Bob
PS Found this picture.

It enables the starter motor top mounting bolt to be withdrawn (into the footwell). Should have a rubber bung in it.

Bob ,nothing literal going on...I just found it a challenge as you can see , but there again I’m still a newby at xkeS3’s I started off with a running, well maintained, well modified S3 efi ....found a blemish, now I’ve got a big pile of bits with a body ready to be blasted..as my wife keeps saying “ You were only supposed to sand the bl###y doors off” apparently I’m for sale to the highest bidder...no bids so far!!!
