#1 Cant rails, front headliner frame, tuck plate images?

Post by Danetype3 » Wed Oct 25, 2023 7:32 am

My car did not come with the headliner frame bits, so I will need to make these myself, unless someone has some spare cant rails, a front headliner frame and a rear tuck plate for a S3 2+2

I did find pictures of the cant rails, but it is difficult to find info on the other 2. Some pictures would be of great help. I found these:

Is this what it looks like, plate thickness?

The rear plate has a raised section appr 25mm wide raised 8mm with the rear edge lip folded in 10mm with serrated teeth to grip the head lining and the plastic edge trim around the hatch opening. The plate is thin sheet metal prob 0.8mm thick. Approx measurements are through the head lining mataterial

The shape you're asking for is flat where it tucks under the front frame.

All the best.

Thanks a lot for measuring and the images Randall, it helps.

If anyone has taken a picture of the front and back frames before adding the iiner, like these from the cant rails, that would be great. To see the details.
