#1 Dads Series 3

Post by jameswilson » Thu Apr 04, 2024 6:15 pm

Hi All im looking for some advice
I lost my dad about 12 years ago but we still have his pride and joy
Mum doesnt want to drive it anymore (scared of bumping it) so we have decided to sell it to someone who will

It an ex US v12 2+2 auto in burgendy red.
Ive found out as it was converted to rhd when it came back to the uk its worth less than a UK car or a lhd one.

Ive no experience of selling a classic and seens as its only been a recent decision the weather hasnt allowed us to get some good photos (its never been allowed out in damp conditions)

Anyway Thanks

James

James

There are various auction sites that could sell the car for you. How about telling us a bit more, for example: is the car roadworthy? Or has it been off the road these past twelve years? With new tyres needed and a general inspection for rust, condition of the engine, vehicle interior, etc.
Making good those could cost more than the car is worth if there’s serious rust. Sorry to be negative but best to pre-warn you and hopefully you’ll be in a much better position than that.
Valuing the car won’t be easy just from photos, but when you can include a few. They will give the more knowledgeable help. And if appropriate one of the greater experienced could look at the car. There are clubs such as the Jaguar Enthusiast Club and the Jaguar Drivers Club that you could contact for help in valuation and selling.

Good luck
