#1 voltage stabiliser

Post by carlv12 » Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:50 pm

Hello,

I need for my 1972 E Type V12 the voltage stabiliser. I have ordered from SNG Barratt part number 148876J, but it does NOT work correctly with my fuel level gauge. It goes immediately to maximum even if the fuel tank is empty!!! This must be due to its internal design. The old original voltage stabiliser has a BIMETAL. I have checked the original part numbers and there are C15485 and C27053 depending on VIN, BUT both supersede to 148876J. ???!!!

Maybe a Lucas voltage stabiliser for E Type or MGB part BHA4602 would be the correct one?
I hope you can help me...
Thank you and best regards from Valencia, Spain.
Carlos

Why not make an electronic VR as designed by Dave Rawle - costs about 5 euros and works superbly!: http://davesetype.co.uk/etype11.htm

Mike Frank at Coolcat Corp sells a ready made one if you don't feel like doing the (simple) soldering.
