#1 Sun visors for series 3 2+2

Post by JIM BAUMANN » Thu Sep 11, 2014 9:59 pm

I have removed the sunvisors--as they were rather tatty and leaking foam dust! My sunvisors are in poor condition -- on one of them the internals are corroded to the extent that it had seized and the wire frame has snapped... ( previous owner!). Is there availability of complete series 3 items with brackets et al ( mine a re a bit scruffy!). Can series 2 2+2 items work as well? --is there a difference in outline and or shape/ size? Intrigued. any advice gratefully received

Doh, sorry, it was in the title not the message body. That has caught me out before and is one of the few glitches here - you don't see the thread title while posting.

I believe any 2+2 visor will fit any other 2+2 even if it doesn't match the originals perfectly.

I don't believe FHC and 2+2 interchange.

Series 2 and 3 OTS visors will swap.

#4 S3 2+2 sun visors

Mine were in a similar state.
SNG Barrett had them in stock.
Top quality repros. Not sure if your swing arm is broken but the visor slid over it if I remember correctly.

Good luck:)

Replace old sun visors with LEXAN, much like the original Cobra's used. Easy to do, looks great, cheap , and last forever. Call , and will tell ya how ! 917 544 3124

Lexan would be good but, regulations in Oz require the visors to be soft ...

That makes sense. I'm sure you are correct, as we have similar regulations here in the US. However, wonder if it appliers to cars of this vintage. Here in USA, what was allowed back then, is acceptable for continued use. Just a thought.
