Do someone has used the solution proposed here : http://rushtonengineering.co.uk/v12-eng ... to-e-type/ to use a latter engine coming from other V12 cars ?
It sounds a good other solution to use a v12 if you don't have one yourself or if you want to have an EFI engine in your E.

Solution to use a latter V12

Why not just use an engine from a v12 etype instead?
I have enough original spare parts to convert one properly and a complete spare original engine also. There is no need for all of these unoriginal parts.
kind regards
Marek

Hello Marek
Great if you have all the bit! I did have all of them also and I ve modify my xjs engine for my own etype.
For sure your message will interest someone.
However, this system sounds to me an interesting alternate.

Hi
Did you look at the price for a refurbished V12. At 4400GBP it looked very good value for money, depending on what parts were reused.
Having just spent at least double that on my rebuild, mostly new internals, I wished I could have access to a rebuild at that price.
Cheers

I bought a running V-12 from an XJ12 S3 very cheaply (car was scrapped) to obtain all the necessary conversion parts, and have since sold the oil pump for much more than the engine cost!
But, of course, the original engine in my S3 OTS has only covered 32k miles and is in excellent condition.

My previous post was to convert a series 3 V-12 e-type to fuel injection!
