#1 V12 bonnet

Post by astonman » Wed Nov 02, 2016 10:58 pm

I have a spare bonnet that has no use to me. I believe it's complete except from the lower valance.
What kind of value can i expect for such an item?

A new one for a S1 including freight duty and GST was going to cost about $13.5k earlier this year.

I would have thought $5k easily and probably more depending on how desperate your buyer is.

Thanks for the response, however it's not a series 1 bonnet. it for a v12 series 3 i believe.

Wish you would have posted this 2 years ago, would of saved me a hell of a lot of heartache and stress on repairing the one I have.
Good used bonnets go for big dollars, when I was looking very average (Rust and damage) UK one's were around the 1000 to 3000 pound mark and repro ones are in the 12 to 15k depending on Country of sale and exchange rates, then there's the shipping and insurance.

Bottom line is how much is the buyer willing to pay, and he who needs it will pay, I mean after my exercise 20k is cheap for a new bonnet..

Thanks for the response, that's far more than i expected. i had a €500 offer for the lot, but declined it. however it looks like parts and cars are more expensive in the UK than over here.
