Wish I could understand french.
But nice pictures, do you have some more showing the rubber around door frame and b pillar? I`m in the process of changing mine but i dont think there is the right one there at the moment so no use in copying what is on the car at the moment

Excellent bog Yves!

For non-French speakers Google Chrome should automatically translate the entire page. If not, go to 'settings' 'advanced' and scroll down to 'Languages'. Check 'Offer to translate pages .....' You should also be able to right mouse click on a foreign language page and ask it to 'Translate to English'.

You can't. Only way to change is to set up a new account. You can put your second name in your signature, which I see you have already done. You could edit your signature an put both names in to avoid confusion.

The problem now is to shut completely the door with the compression of the new seals which are very stiff .

Yves, when I first fitted the doors and trunk seals on my S2 it was indeed difficult to close the doors and trunk.
I have used some silicone spray applied on a towel then wiped over the seals and the doors/trunk where they meet the seals. This has improved things a lot because the seals would then slide a bit easier when compressed.
With time (few weeks to few months), the seals will the final shape and no more difficulty to close the doors and trunk.
Il faut laisser faire le temps!

these last two days were occupied with the rear axle....
It was a hard job to fix the silent-blocs with their thickness shims on the body .
At the beginning it was that:
Image

After a few hours of work.....with a tricky job to put the two shafts at the right place with all the washers in the middle
Image

It is ready to come back on the car !
Image

When your son has taken the ladder out, you have to be ingenious....! to put the rear axle on its Rolling trolley
Image
Image

And now I can fix it on the car .....!

And now I have to fit the hand brake and all the propeller shaft, it must be an easy job I hope !

Dear Lataud,

It'll be very easy if you take the engine or IRS back out of the car first.

kind regards

Marek : you need new glasses ! The prop shaft is already present in the tunnel, as can be seen in the photos

That's a lucky break then. Lataud would need a new sense of humour if it weren't!

kind regards

My job now is concentrated around the bonnet.... 3 years ago it was that :Image
The precedent owner had taken off all the chrome beads and weld the wings to the central panel.....So y cut all the weld points and tried to keep the wings with all the metal "blades"

Image
Image

Image

Image
Now y fix the different parts together... trying to get the right curve line beetween the parts. But the problem is that there are some "gaps" beetween the central panel and the diaphragms and valances (1) on the last pic
