If you login it will be on the Collectors Corner section I guess.
I am doing the Deagostini model, the quality and detail is excellent.
The difficult bit is the wheels. Each spoke is replicated! Even then , nothing like as difficult as keeping the real thing on the road.
This is how far I have got. Expensive, but well worth it I feel.

Its true, but Enzo never said it

Hi (whatever your name is?)
I am also a big fan of 1:8 E-type models - I made the old Monogram 3.8 FHC a few years back and converted it to RHD plus gave it working lights. Here's the article I had in the Club magazine a while back:
And here's my long-standing project - the Revell re-tooling of the LHD 3.8 FHC, slowly beginning to look like a RHD 4.2 OTS. I will try and continue with it this summer!

There are certainly some bits from that Deagostini which would go well for my 4.2 conversion, I might try and acquire a few issues of interest! I would argue that anything is possible with patience, and a lot of learning along the way. *
Have a look round the Collector's Corner section, there's some interesting stuff to be found, particularly on scale models.
Cheers
Simon
* Hah, he says, with two weeks left before he finished his final exams for a degree, what could possibly go wrong!

Gosh, Simon. Two more weeks to graduation. Congratulations! It seems like it was just last autumn that you were bemoaning the fact that you had to leave for school and leave the work with Richard on his restoration behind. I hope that a full sized E is in your near future! Again, congratulations and well done!

I know Mark, scary, isn't it? And thank you
I would like to make it a full-sized E but I still fear that it's a long way off. Trying to sort my next career move out but not getting anywhere at the moment. There is no money nor confidence in chemistry in our country at the moment, and I haven't had much luck abroad either. Still doing my best to get there! My ACTUAL graduation date is 6th July, final exam is the 18th. The annoying thing is I'm not quite done until the 29th May which is the date of my viva (oral defence of my thesis) but I'm having some time off before that!
Having been indoors pretty much solidly since November (thesis writing, and now studying) I am beginning to forget what outside looks like, save for an hour on the bike every other day!
