Shift knob wobbles in third

I´ve installed aftermarket engine mounts, an aftermarket stabilizer and the rubbers for the gearbox mount. Loading the engine in 3rd, the knob goes aft/forward. Is this inherent to the gearbox or are my mounts lousy? No big deal, since I´m happy to have a driving E-type. And yes, plenty of other to-do`s on the the list

So does mine. As it has done for all the 55,000 miles I’ve driven the car. As there is no wobble in top gear, and that’s the gear I use most, I don’t worry about it. If it was serious I’m sure something would have broken by now.

So does mine on my S2, but oddly, not on my all-synchro S1 ( EJ Box).Odd, but mine has done it for 22 years !

Mine does that too, in 4th as well as 3rd.
