#1 Be kind please look to story behind article

Post by ands59 » Wed Sep 26, 2018 8:05 am

Gents my car is due to be in October’s Edition of Practical Classic
It made it in becacause to story behind a quick turarounb
Briefly 2014 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma an incurable treatable but unlimately deadly form of cancer
Since acticle finished in June as of September and my disease has returned sadly and any day from now till at best Christmas will be my last
My car has been modified so it’s safe and easy to drive and stop with modern day electronics built in mainly for safety - nothing done that is not in Upgrade section
Not for purists but me.
Thakyou for you great knowledge but the one thing that we all agree on this car has the most amazing soundtrack
I don’t post much but feel I’m part of a very caring group for our mark so it been a privilege just to be a member
Thank you
Andrew Small

Hello Andrew

Thank you for sharing this,...it must have been tough to write...
Am now looking forward to my regular copy of the magazine more than ever
Restorations should always be for the owner as it’s your car...I hope it lived up to all your expectations and that you and your family can enjoy it as much as possible

Best regards

I'm really glad you posted Andrew and that you are one of the few who have been lucky enough to experience this wonderful car, and may you keep doing so as long as you can. Very much looking forward to the next issue of PC.

Hi Andrew,
So sorry to hear about your situation. The 'C' word is a cruel and merciless disease that has affected many of us or ones close to us and cannot be wiped out soon enough.
If ever there were a reason to get out and enjoy your beautiful car every available minute, this has to be just that.
I also look forward to the issue of PC and will read it with much more interest.
Wishing you all the very best and hoping youre currently out in the E Type right now!

Andrew,

I'm so sorry to hear of your illness but pleased to hear of the coverage. It must be a bit of a morale boost.
I'll get my son to pop out and get a copy for my return.

I think PC is one of those English titles that is translated more or less verbatim into Italian and with the original photos so I'll pop into the local edicola to see if you've made it into print down here, too. Needless to say, I'll score you a copy if so.

Hello Andrew,
Like many on this forum, I was moved by your message and your courage to share it with us. I wish you all the very best and hope you are out and about in your car and enjoying the beautiful late summer weather we have been blessed with.
I will certainly be getting a copy of PC and look forward to reading all about your adventure.
Best wishes,

They say the car is the star
It is doing its final leg of 2 today with some great friends of mine heading to Cromer
I’m going to be in hospital awhile longer but am keenly tracking their progress

Invariably with the E-Type that is the case but in this instance you are the real star Andrew. :salute:
