#1 Gauge face lift

Can anyone suggest how best to clean the face of my oil pressure gauge. It looks like oxidation (see photo)

Is that dirt on the glass, or damage to the face of the gauge ?

I use a cotton bud moistened with paint thinner. You need to be gentle and not scrub too hard.

Gentle cleaning as above
You can carefully mask the white markings and lightly wet and dry the black background and spray with Halfords satin or Matt finish black. I did mine and it looks like the original but a bit cleaner and tidier
