Hi all,
one of the armature wires came loose on the commutator and damaged the fieldcoils of my dynamo. Although I am tempted to buy something like a Dynator, I'd like to have the dynamo repaired/ restored. I kindly ask for your recommendations, thank you

Google refurbished lucas dynamo. There are companies that refurbish them....or search ebay as they show up there too....

I refurbished mine using parts from these guys:

I’m going down the dynalite route but wanted to keep the original in case I ever decided to go back to original spec.
