I read somewhere, that the S3 hub cap can be used for horn push. I was wondering if this is true and does it involve any modifications?
The horn push button does have the brass insert, I presume the hub cap does not :-)

Hello Tadek,
this must be the post that Steve was looking for
http://forum.etypeuk.com/viewtopic.php?p=65988#p65988
I have bought a set of hubcap centres, but the gold looks lighter than even on the replica horn push medaillions. On the plus side: the diameter fits and the ears of the growler are within the same black squares as on the original. Some sanding and polishing is required. The hubcap centre is more flat, but I suppose this could be corrected with more sanding (4 hubcap centres = 4 tries). I have not attempted this, because I am happy with the original that I have on my steering wheel.

Klaus, Steve,
Thanks for the replies.
There is a NOS available on ebay, but if it's not quite it, than maybe not worth the money...

Mine does not look perfect, but it's not that bad either..

My hub cap badges are (or were) the only source that did NOT look like the pale washed-out repros but the full rich gold colour of the real originals. I think I have two left if some one is stuck.
