So I've got a Freind who may be putting up for sale her early 4.2 E Type that was originally purchased by Mark Miller the known 60s E Type fan who was renowned for buying the motor show cars. This car does indeed have in crayon written somewhere on the car " show " .
The car is very clean. ( not concours)
Does it being a motor show car add to it's value ? Or just to its desirebleness ?
Anyone got thoughts or actual knowledge on this . Cheers for any ideas
Early motor show car worth anything ?

The fact that the car was a show car rarely means anything, especially years later after many miles of use, and perhaps several owners. The value of the car is base on its present condition, and how bad do you want it , and how realistic or unrealistic the present owner is. Good luck !

A bit of provenance never hurts in a sale.
My brother in law recently bought a RR first owned by Peter Sellars. Apparently Spike Milligan was locked in its boot on one occasion. His hammering and yelling eventually brought the Police. When the Sergeant released him, all he said was "Not you again!".
