#1 Seal retainer channels

Post by Quattrofrank » Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:49 pm

Hi

I purchased a set of new seal Channels for my fhc.
In the kit I got seal channels for the a post, for the quarter window, but also a channel that goes from the a post to the b post.
I cant remeber to have taken off this when dismantling the car and cannot see holes for the pop rivets on the chassis. Only holes for the screws to fasten the cantrails.

The question is: is there suppose to be a seal channel from a post to the b post? My car is a series 2 fhc

If I've understood your question correctly the answer is no.

I'm assuming you mean along the roof line between the top of the A post to the top of the B post.

:yeahthat: Mine is a late S1 fhc and it has no channel up the A post and along the top of the door opening. The seal was just glued into position. The kit seems designed for earlier cars and the L shaped items were redundant in my case, and I assume in yours too.

Excellent, thank you.
Yes I`m talking about the L shaped retainer, will just use glue then.
