This isn't Orpington Car Boot Sale Darren, it's a prestigious gathering of E type owners and enthusiasts.
Think Goodwood Members Meeting but a bit more upmarket.

I do hope security don't have to escort you off the premises again.

Have a great day chaps, looking forward to some pics.

Thanks Angus and crew for a great meeting. Good to put faces to names and view so many outstanding examples.

Special thanks to Jeremy for showing us his exceptional example and to Catusman for crawling around on the floor showing me correct jacking points :-).

Cheers

x2 - Most enjoyable and good to put faces to names (the bacon rolls were most welcome). Loved the workshop (a good period feel). Did not enjoy the M25 on the way back but it was a good test of our Fosseway rad and fan!

Me too, thanks Angus and team.

The cars that came were stunning examples in different ways. I felt so ashamed of my car being so dirty that I washed it when I got home and polished the back half before the missus found me and made me do some “useful” jobs.

Thanks Angus - great to see the new premises and be inspired by so many nice cars that were there...

Here is a picture, appropriately with a couple of young men checking out the underside of Jeremy's fabulous car...

Many thanks again,
Richard

Great gathering in superb weather. Good to catch up with a few old faces and get to know a few new ones.

Many thanks to Angus and the team for hosting the event

Best of all I managed to avoid having anyone superglue themselves to the car as I drove through the centre of London on the way there and on the way back - which is always a bonus...... 8-)

Yes it was great to meet everyone,

Angus your workshop is full of lovely cars and spotless.

Jeremy, your car looks fantastic.

Darren, great to meet you! 1,150 kgs, that is some going.

Steve, I will persuade Robert to start a C type kit. The sounds like an excellent idea.

Dave, glad you sorted your brake lights out.

Julian, you are younger than I expected, 50EE is a thing to behold.

A great day with just the right people there.

Thanks to Angus and the team for a lovely morning out. Sorry we had to shoot a little early, but it was great to see some proper motors instead of messing around with the abominations I usually bang on about

Great to catch up with some familiar and no-so-familiar faces alike. Caught the site of 50EE and one of the others on the motorway heading back too.

Eventually ended up taking a cross country route back up the A5, back up towards Burton, into the bottom end of the county and settling on a late lunch in the sunshine at the side of Swarkestone Causeway. All very civilised - rolling fields, sunny weather and a steady run back on some nice roads. The Colt didn't miss a beat either and averaged 67 mpg today!

Look forward to the next one, hopefully Richard will be about so we can come in the 3.8 FHC
